Responsibilities

The Produce Processing Specialist will work in a food processing facility, as part of a production line team, to create finished good products. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Washing and Preparing Product: The employee will wash and prepare product according to standard operating procedures.
  • Cutting and Assembling Product: The employee will cut and assemble the prepared product into finished goods, such as salads, dips, and trays.
  • Packaging and Sealing Product: The employee will package and seal the finished product for transport.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • Ability to Work in a Refrigerated Environment: The employee must be able to work in a refrigerated environment, with temperatures as low as 36 degrees.
  • Physical Demands: The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: The employee must have a good understanding of food safety principles and practices.
  • Alaskan or Anchorage Food Handlers Card: The employee must obtain an Alaskan or Anchorage food handlers card within 30 days of hire.
