About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and fashion-forward individual to lead our retail team as an Assistant Manager at Uptown Cheapskate in Charlottesville. If you have a passion for retail, problem-solving, and helping others, this opportunity would be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately appraise and buy product using our proprietary buying software and your expertise in fashion, ensuring timely restocking and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
  • Lead and manage the sales team, focusing on seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences that drive loyalty and retention.
  • Oversee daily tasks, including store opening and closing procedures, and take charge of incoming product to maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
Compensation Package:

The estimated hourly wage for this position is $15.25-$18.75, with opportunities for up to $1.50 in bonuses per hour. Our comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, 401(k) matching, health insurance, and employee discounts.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 30 hours of availability per week to ensure adequate coverage and meet business needs.
  • Experience in retail, preferably with a background in fashion or related fields, to bring valuable insights and expertise to the role.
