Company Overview:
For over five decades, our client has established itself as the largest and most reputable producer of Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) eggs and related laboratory products and services essential for the development and manufacturing of biologics and vaccines for both human and animal health. They provide leading manufacturers with critical bioprocessing inputs, including SPF eggs, antigens, and cell products. Additionally, they offer various diagnostic testing and manufacturing support services, including virus propagation and isolation, custom cell production, and quality control testing. They also facilitate the development of new therapeutics by supplying antibodies such as IgY for clinical trials.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the removal of flocks, bird relocations, and sales.
  • Engage in various farm-related tasks.
  • Conduct house recycles, which include disassembling houses and related equipment, washing, repairing, sanitizing, and reassembling them.
  • Perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Execute all other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Occasionally works in high, precarious locations and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, and vibrations.
  • Must be able to work in hot or cold environmental temperatures.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, but can be high when using pressure washers or power tools.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Qualifications:
  • Basic maintenance and carpentry skills and experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered as a satisfactory substitute for the specific qualifications listed above.
  • Valid driver's license required.
