Job Summary:
Execute and/or assist with tasks related to house recycling, minor equipment maintenance, flock removal, and blood testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with flock removal, bird relocations, and bird sales.
  • Engage in various farm-related activities.
  • Conduct house recycling, which includes disassembling houses and related equipment, cleaning, repairing, sanitizing, and reassembling houses.
  • Perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Carry out all other related tasks as assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions.
  • The employee occasionally works in high, precarious locations and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, and vibrations.
  • Working in varying environmental temperatures, both hot and cold.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; communicate verbally and audibly; use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally need to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, increasing when using pressure washers or power tools.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Qualifications:
  • Basic maintenance and carpentry skills and experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Valid driver's license required.
