Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Teacher at our South Bend location. As a Teacher, you will play a critical role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Curriculum: Develop and implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child.
  • Child Development: Create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Parent Partnerships: Build strong relationships with parents and families to ensure that we are meeting their needs and providing the best possible care and education for their children.
  • Center Success: Support the success of our center by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Community Engagement: Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.

Qualifications

  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Certifications: Hold CPR and First Aid Certification or be willing to obtain. Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or be willing to obtain.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA): Hold an Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or be willing to obtain.
  • Physical Abilities: Be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Communication: Be able to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
