Key Responsibilities

The DON SAP IT Engineering and Cyber Security Program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at delivering engineering, integration, and cyber support over a five-year period. We are looking for a Senior SharePoint Developer to contribute significantly to our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with:
  • Designing, customizing, and troubleshooting workflows to streamline business processes, as well as developing websites, web parts, forms, and libraries using a variety of programming languages including PowerShell, JavaScript, CSS, Microsoft .NET, and HTML.
  • Administering, configuring, and maintaining the SharePoint environment, specifically MS SharePoint versions 2016 and 2019, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Systematically updating metadata terms as needed and creating forms that effectively capture and store information in compliance with established regulations.
  • Executing SharePoint customizations, integrations, and upgrades across engineering, testing, and production environments while adhering to Configuration Management, Change Management, and Security protocols.
  • Providing recommendations for and executing installations of major releases, product updates, hot fixes, and service packs, along with necessary testing.
  • Customizing and implementing tools and functionalities such as Dashboards, Websites, Employee Libraries, and Reports within SharePoint.
  • Maintaining Managed File Share (MFS) in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience with a BS/BA degree, 10 years with an MS/MA, or 7 years with a PhD.
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
  • At least five years of experience in SharePoint Server engineering is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in workflow design, website design, web part development, and list/library engineering using various programming languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, CSS, HTML).
  • Current ITIL Foundations certification is required.

Compensation Range

The typical salary range for this position is between $146,000 and $234,000, reflecting the expected compensation based on experience and other relevant factors.
