Job Overview

Position Summary: Evaluates client requirements by analyzing individual circumstances and the availability of support systems.

Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in counseling and/or coursework in psychology or a related discipline.

Essential Skills: Fundamental understanding of substance abuse recovery; familiarity with community resources; advocacy abilities; strong interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitates the planning of services for clients by conducting interviews, assessing their needs and objectives, assisting in application processes, and connecting clients with the necessary service systems to fulfill their basic human requirements; organizes suitable transportation.
  2. Informs clients by clarifying program criteria, options, interpretations, and decisions.
  3. Oversees service provision through follow-up discussions with clients and/or service providers.
  4. Delivers emergency/crisis intervention by directing clients to other suitable programs.
  5. Maintains comprehensive client records by documenting client situations and actions; accurately completes necessary paperwork.
  6. Adheres to federal, state, and local legal standards by reviewing existing and new legislation; informs management of required actions.
  7. Safeguards client confidentiality and operational integrity by maintaining confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures; upholds professional boundaries with clients.
  8. Enhances inter- and intra-departmental collaboration by promoting a cooperative spirit.
