Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Chocolate Department Lead. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy and efficiency of orders produced in our dipping and packing rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Chocolate Dipping and Packaging Room Operations: Ensure that all orders are completed accurately and efficiently, and that the production team is working effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate Daily Orders: Collect, organize, and facilitate the completion of daily orders from production to packaging and shipping.
  • Lead Chocolate Dipping Team: Direct the chocolate dippers to complete miscellaneous tasks as needed for orders or sample requests.
  • Communicate with Team Members: Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers to ensure standards of efficiency and quality are being met.
  • Inventory Management: Communicate about inventory that is low or out of stock.
  • Fill-in for Production Manager: Fill in for the Production Manager as needed and assigned.
  • Report Daily Yields: Report and document daily yields for procurement.
  • Complete Daily Lot Tracking Logs: Complete and turn in daily lot tracking logs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Uphold attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure with constant deadlines.
  • Maintain a Clean Work Area: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain timely and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in the chocolate industry or similar field is preferred.
  • Availability: Ability to work weekends and additional shifts with the possibility of overtime.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 1yr Lead or Supervisory Experience Required.
