The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Service Department and providing leadership to the team. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Schedule and manage service and repair work orders, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and mentor technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.
  • Manage and maintain warranties on engines, machines, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve service department efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and requirements.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a service department management or supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information and make informed decisions.
  • Basic math skills and ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost/revenue projections.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Work Environment:

The Service Manager will work in a fast-paced service department environment, interacting with customers, technicians, and other staff members. The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
