Job Title: Data Science Director

Digitas Health is seeking a highly skilled Data Science Director to join our team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data management and analytics environments to promote industry-leading analytic solutions.
  • Supervise a team of data scientists and statisticians to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Identify and develop solutions to add to our advanced analytics portfolio.
  • Provide advanced analytic support and share statistical best practices with department analysts.
  • Participate in the development, validation, and delivery of algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools.
  • Work in a team environment, collaborating with multiple departments, including internal and external customers.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract applicable insights and inform experimental design and model development.
  • Mentor and train junior team members to ensure knowledge transfer and growth.
  • Translate business questions into actionable and reproducible statistical models and analyses.
  • Promote automation of recurring reports and model monitoring systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, or equivalent required, with a master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in statistical analysis or data mining environments, such as R, Python, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Expert proficiency in statistical analysis software applications, such as SAS, Stata, SPSS, or equivalent.
  • Expert proficiency in AI-powered tools, such as DataRobot or equivalent.
  • Expert proficiency in multivariate analytics, econometric modeling, Bayesian probability, and analysis of variance, with advanced knowledge of data management concepts and SQL.
  • Project management skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and communicate complex topics to client stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team of direct reports, with guidance from the GVP.
  • Mastery of best practices regarding sampling, multivariate methods, and tests of statistical significance.
  • Expert ability to identify appropriate statistical procedures to address specific business or data insight challenges.
  • Advanced data hygiene and architecture knowledge, with the ability to perform complex queries in a SQL Server environment.
  • Expert knowledge of deterministic and stochastic modeling concepts and their applications in predictive modeling.
