Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Project Manager to lead the successful deployment of Rockwell Automation's Plex ERP, MES, and QMS solutions in the manufacturing industry.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Champion Plex's implementation methodology and lead it through each project, fostering a culture of excellence and quality.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Services project team resources, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Lead the Plex and customer project team to identify and resolve risks that could impact project scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring proactive issue resolution.
  • Responsible for revenue forecasting and attainment for assigned projects, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Lead Customer Steering Committee meetings, Milestone Events, and internal Portfolio Reviews for assigned projects, ensuring stakeholder engagement and alignment.
  • Partner with the PMO to improve tools and processes, driving process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that projects are staffed and planned in collaboration with resource management, optimizing resource allocation and utilization.
  • Ensure that assigned projects are delivered within budget, time, and to the SOW, managing the project change process to ensure out-of-scope activities are identified and approved.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Plex Manufacturing Cloud Core Modules and maintain current knowledge of product releases, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to position additional Professional Service offerings within a project or at project close, supporting new logo sales activities by positioning Plex Professional Services effectively.
  • Build relationships outside of Plex Professional Services in our Product, Sales, and Support teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to customer locations, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required, with no sponsorship for employment visas available for this role.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant software implementation project experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment in an Operations, Supply Chain, or Engineering leadership role, with a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Experience presenting to all levels, including shop floor operators and C-Suite executives, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience being the escalation point for customers, with a strong customer-centric approach and a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • PMP certification and/or APICS certification, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
