Job Title: Environmental Geologist

We are seeking an Environmental Geologist to join our team in Stantec's Walnut Creek, CA office. As an Environmental Geologist, you will work on various environmental remediation projects, including groundwater and soil sampling, data analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct groundwater and soil sampling procedures, and analyze data to assess the nature and extent of chemical contamination.
  • Prepare and coordinate production of deliverables such as work plans, site investigation reports, and remedial investigations.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of remedial actions for contaminated soil and groundwater.
  • Participate in project teams and engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and third parties on-site.
Qualifications:
  • At least three years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on groundwater and soil sampling.
  • Experience in technical writing and data analysis.
  • Good driving record and valid driver's license required.
  • OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of environmental geology experience.
  • California Professional Geologist License or Geologist-in-Training certification (preferred).
