Job Title: Early Childhood Developmental Therapist

Soar Autism Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Childhood Developmental Therapist to join our team. As a Developmental Therapist, you will play a vital role in nurturing the growth and development of young children with autism.

This is an entry-level position that involves close collaboration with a team of experts, including Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists. We provide thorough training to equip you for success.

Ideal candidates include:

  • Recent graduates eager to kickstart their careers, particularly those with backgrounds in psychology, special education, child development, or related fields.
  • Individuals with a genuine passion for childcare and a love for working with children, including childcare providers, paraprofessionals, preschool teachers, or volunteers.
  • Healthcare professionals seeking a meaningful change, such as home health aides, behavioral health techs, or child life specialists.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 within a clinic setting, utilizing evidence-based, naturalistic therapeutic techniques.
  • Implement individualized intervention plans developed by expert clinicians in behavior analysis, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.
  • Collaborate closely with the child's healthcare team to ensure consistent and high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a professional capacity.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer and tablet usage.
  • Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential.
  • Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client.
  • Preference given to college graduates or individuals pursuing higher education.
