Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Developmental Therapist to join our team at Soar Autism Center. As a Developmental Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum.
You will be responsible for teaching new skills to children in a 1:1 setting, ensuring their comprehensive growth and development. You will also engage children in play-based routines, transforming everyday moments into opportunities for teaching and nurturing essential life skills.
Collaboration with our interdisciplinary team is essential, as you will work together to design and implement individualized developmental plans, upholding the principles of the Early Start Denver Model and maintaining fidelity to Soar's model.
Strong relationships with families are crucial, as you will provide regular insights on their child's progress and offer guidance rooted in best child care practices.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary child caregiver, teaching new skills to children in a 1:1 setting
- Engage children in play-based routines, transforming everyday moments into opportunities for teaching and nurturing essential life skills
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to design and implement individualized developmental plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, providing regular insights on their child's progress and offering guidance rooted in best child care practices
- Genuine interest and prior experience in child care roles, such as daycare, nannying, or similar positions
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a talent for building connections with young children and their families
- Ability to work effectively on a team
- $20.50-$26.00/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities
