Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated Retail Management Trainee to become a part of our dynamic team.

This role provides an hourly wage of $22.42, along with the opportunity to earn unlimited commissions ranging from 2-8% of the gross profit based on personal performance, in addition to potential bonuses tied to overall store success.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Retail Management Trainee with at least six months of experience in retail management. This role is responsible for overseeing daily store operations and fostering a positive work environment. You will collaborate with the Store Manager to lead and develop team members, attract and retain top talent, achieve financial objectives, and enhance customer satisfaction.

In partnership with the Store Manager, you will review financial reports to ensure targets are met. Commitment to asset protection, business promotion, and customer acquisition is essential. Employees will engage with a diverse range of merchandise, including jewelry and general goods.

This position offers an hourly wage, with additional earnings through commissions based on productivity and bonuses tied to store performance. Actual compensation will vary based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a customer-focused environment by engaging with customers professionally and addressing their concerns promptly.
  • Assist in training team members to meet company standards.
  • Recruit talent through designated channels.
  • Manage store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and asset protection.
  • Ensure inventory control and safety procedures are followed.
  • Administer store processes including inventory management and reporting.
  • Analyze financial statements to drive profitability through effective communication and goal-setting.
  • Maintain high operational standards.
  • Monitor loan processes to ensure integrity.
  • Complete assigned training and self-development tasks.
  • Communicate the store's mission and objectives clearly to the team.
  • Stay informed about product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Proven supervisory skills.
  • Must be able to work with firearms and obtain certification.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations as needed.
  • Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work 45+ hours per week based on business needs.
  • Proficient in using Point-Of-Sale systems and office equipment.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills and cash handling experience are required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and business acumen.

Commission Plan Overview:

Our commission and bonus incentive plan is unique to our company. Employees can earn 2-8% based on personal performance metrics, with additional multipliers available based on store performance metrics. Further details about the commission structure will be provided during the interview process.
