Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee the operation of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a high-volume fine dining restaurant and hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culinary Leadership
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our guests.
    • Lead and motivate a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation.
    • Ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently, including food preparation, plating, and presentation.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed, including proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure that all ingredients are used efficiently.
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce food costs and improve profitability.
  • Team Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of culinary professionals to meet the needs of our restaurant.
    • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure that team members are meeting their performance goals.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets to ensure that all kitchen operations are running within budget.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase profitability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Executive Chef experience in a high-volume fine dining restaurant and/or hotel environment.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of cooking experience.
  • ServeSafe Certified.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended hours.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a particular attention to detail.
  • Strong knife skills.
  • Creativity and idea generator and executer.
  • Must be available to work irregular hours, shifts, weekends, special events, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge.
