Position Overview
The Water division at AECOM is seeking a skilled Water/Wastewater/Stormwater Engineer to support our initiatives in Florida. This role requires a candidate with a solid background in managing state and federal grant programs, particularly those focused on hazard mitigation and flood reduction strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering evaluations and benefit-cost analyses for various grant programs.
- Collaborate with team members on engineering tasks, including assessments, reports, and project timelines.
- Execute and coordinate tasks during the preliminary and detailed design phases of projects.
- Collect and analyze engineering data following established protocols.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to identify any discrepancies in data or results.
- Assist in the planning, design, permitting, and construction phases of water-related projects.
- Provide clear updates on task progress to project leads.
- Engage in client communication and liaison activities as part of the project team.
- Contribute to the development of reports, hydraulic models, calculations, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with colleagues, clients, and sub-consultants to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in municipal water/wastewater/stormwater engineering design and rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with state and federal grant programs related to hazard mitigation.
- Aptitude for business development and pursuing new project opportunities.
- Progress towards Professional Engineer licensure in Florida.
