The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer II to join our Transportation Practice in Orlando, FL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria for various projects, including design detailing, code and criteria analysis, construction document production, and construction administration.
  • Coordinate with project teams, including client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and management of discipline-related activities.
  • Prepare specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals, ensuring finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction.
  • Meet with clients to determine objectives and requirements for executing desired scope.
  • Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide technical guidance to other professionals and technicians.
  • Perform quality control reviews and ensure achievement of key milestones, as well as perform as-needed field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects.
  • Maintain professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements.
  • Supervise direct reports, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, development conversations, and productivity management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum seven years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
  • Advanced level of oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Experience working on parts of a major project or multiple moderate-sized projects.
  • Proven experience providing technical guidance to entry/junior level staff.
