Role Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and coordinating all unit functions during assigned shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNL directs and evaluates nursing practices in line with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff while embodying the organization's values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitating admission and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and care quality.
  • Engaging in continuous assessment of care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Fostering teamwork and collaboration to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Promoting a patient-centered approach and addressing service recovery when necessary.
  • Implementing nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Participating in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
  • Managing staff schedules and labor resources in accordance with patient care needs.
  • Overseeing inventory management and supply procurement.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or commitment to obtain within five years of hire.
