Maintenance Supervisor

Perdue Farms is a leading provider of premium proteins, and we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage maintenance work requests from production floor, supervisors, and quality control, determining priority and assigning tasks to technicians.
  • Ensure team members comply with safety, best work, and manufacturing practices.
  • Develop and maintain training programs for subordinates, documenting all training records and engaging in regular team meetings to discuss priorities and projects.
  • Comply with company regulations, safety, environmental, BRC, and GMP programs, maintaining audit documentation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to provide a best-in-class workplace experience.
  • Communicate equipment breakdowns and estimated repair times to production and quality assurance teams.
  • Collaborate with vendors, management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance issues and recommend improvements.
  • Plan and coordinate staffing, projects, and equipment maintenance during production and non-production hours.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues through root cause analysis and long-term repair solutions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of related experience, including prior supervisory experience
  • Troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, and mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Work Environment:

Our plant environment may expose you to wet and moist floors, temperatures between 28°F and 100°F, and noise levels between 50 dB and 110 dB. You may also be exposed to chemicals used in poultry and food processing. Please wear and use protective and safety equipment as directed by the company.
