Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Asher Crossing, a professionally managed multi-family community in Williamsville, NY. This position will also assist at two other multi-family communities, Crescendo Lofts and The Dorian, also located in Williamsville, NY.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance duties, completing work orders, and ensuring the quality of work performed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize maintenance work to be performed on assigned site
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials
  • Complete daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties
  • Complete maintenance work orders as assigned
  • Ensure quality of work duties performed
  • Notify Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all utility sources and supply lines
  • Perform necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assigned
  • Handle emergency situations that may arise and communicate all details of the incident to the Property Manager
  • Perform all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintain all appropriate equipment
  • General maintenance experience to include painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.
  • Will be available for after hours on-call as necessary
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
Requirements:
  • Job Type: Maintenance Technician; $23.00 per hour
  • Work Hours: Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (weekend on-call hours required as needed)
  • Training for Position: preventative maintenance, safety, and related
  • Physical Requirements: standing, kneeling, lifting, carrying, painting
  • Required Education: Applicable Work History
  • Required Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in residential property or hotel maintenance
  • Qualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Ability to solve problems involving maintenance, safety, and challenging situations; Possesses strong customer service skills; Ability to interact with employees and residents in a professional manner.
