Behavioral Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Specialist to join our team at Northway Academy, part of the Sevita family. Our center-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services cater to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disabilities.

Salary and BenefitsOur competitive pay rates range from $20-$21 an hour for Level 1 candidates, while Level 2 candidates can expect a salary of $18-$19 an hour. Additionally, we offer health/dental/vision benefits for employees working 32+ hours/week, 401(k) with company match, Holiday pay, Paid Time Off, and the option to get paid within 24 hours after your shift through Dayforce Wallet.
Job ResponsibilitiesYou will work closely with our clinical team to achieve developmental goals and support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing therapeutic and behavioral plans to increase social and self-management skills.
- Providing guidance on communication, exercise, nutrition, and academic skills to assist with school readiness.
- Supporting individuals with learning and maintaining personal skills such as hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
- Teaching and modeling interpersonal and social skills to help individuals thrive in their communities.
- Assisting with strategies to properly manage and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors.
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet one of the following EIDBI Level qualifications:
- Level 1: Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a mental health discipline, hold a master's degree in a mental health field, or possess a bachelor's degree in behavioral health, child development, or a related field with 6,000 hours of clinical experience delivering ABA services.
- Level 2: Enrolled in or hold a bachelor's degree in behavioral health, child development, or a related field, associate's degree in behavioral health, child development, or a related field with at least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience, or possess a high school diploma (or GED) with 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (equivalent to 2 years of full-time experience).
