Job Summary

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze financial statements for various entities on a monthly basis.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations for complex bank accounts and prepare related journal entries.
  • Expense Report Processing: Process employee expense reports and submit for payment.
  • Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare and automate standard monthly journal entries.
  • Daily Report Auditing: Audit and post Daily Reports.
  • Vendor Maintenance: Maintain W9 forms from new vendors and current vendors.
  • Closing Assistance: Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual closings.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including filing hard/soft copy invoices and other documents.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist the Accounting Team with other ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience in a junior/staff accountant role.
  • Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel - vlookups, pivot tables, Word, and Outlook). Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of work product. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bonus: Real estate/property management experience a bonus.
