Job Overview:

Prime Partners is in search of an experienced Project Manager to lead initiatives in building technologies and energy solutions. This position encompasses the management of both technical and business elements of construction or direct owner projects, ensuring client satisfaction while adhering to project budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical and business insights for construction or direct owner projects, including estimating, value engineering, and resource distribution.
  • Guarantee precise project documentation and completion of all required internal and external paperwork.
  • Organize and distribute project documents, estimates, and information to enhance team efficiency.
  • Align client expectations with project estimates and contractual agreements, providing necessary feedback.
  • Identify and address potential project challenges to uphold timelines and budget constraints.
  • Project cost forecasting and tracking to meet budgetary and forecasting objectives.
  • Oversee project invoicing and actively participate in collections to reduce aging.
  • Coordinate material orders with the Material Coordinator to optimize cash flow and material handling.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors or internal installation teams to ensure optimal installation value.
  • Complete monthly WIP re-forecasts and recommend technical solutions during the estimating phase.
  • Identify and manage change order opportunities, working with the sales team for documentation and booking.
  • Assist in resolving building operational issues beyond controls or special systems operations.
  • Lead internal communications to ensure labor accuracy, timely completion, and productivity.
  • Provide leadership and technical input for accurate estimation, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, and training for building systems.
  • Engage with external organizations, including consulting engineers, building owners, and other contractors, to ensure timely and accurate engineering.
  • Support ongoing service engineering for existing building systems.
  • Review all engineered submittals to ensure compliance with scope, budget, and client expectations.

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma; a 2-year technical degree in Electronics is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in HVAC, Building Automation, and Project Management.
  • Basic understanding of computer operating systems and ability to troubleshoot minor computer issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to empathize with client and employee concerns and resolve them effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC, Building Automation, and Project Management.
  • Experience with programming and working with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting diagrams.
  • Understanding of AC power circuitry, including breakers and multi-phase power.
  • Level 2 and Senior Project Managers should have a deep understanding of DDC or special systems controlling buildings, along with the mechanical and electrical systems involved.
  • Experience in providing extensive integration support for various building systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, and materials.
  • Ability to stand and walk on construction sites for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders on construction sites.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record for operating a company vehicle.
  • Physical ability to kneel, stoop, and crawl as required.

Compensation:

  • $90,000 - $140,000 per year based on experience and a successful interview.
