Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at the University of Texas at Dallas. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sales transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
  • Make change, accept declining balance cards, and other acceptable forms of payment
  • Issue receipts to customers and follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards
  • Replenish condiments, coffee, and other beverages while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
  • Keep pastry case stocked and ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
