About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Robotics Systems Engineer to join our team at PushCorp. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for designing and integrating fully functioning systems that meet the needs of our robotic material removal market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development
    • Develop and maintain internal support applications and scripts using languages such as Ruby, C, C++, and Qt Toolkit.
    • Design and implement products using microcontrollers, embedded devices, real-time systems, and networking.
  • Electrical Engineering
    • Determine product use cases and required features.
    • Design and maintain microcontroller, analog, and digital control boards.
    • Select electronic components and design PCBs.
    • Develop and maintain PCB design and development environments.
    • Perform Spice simulations and coordinate PCB assembly fabrication and testing.
  • Industrial Control System Design
    • Design and maintain PLC and robot controller interfaces.
    • Work with ROS software and traditional 24VDC digital and analog I/O.
    • Configure and troubleshoot industrial fieldbus systems (EthernetIP, ProfiNet, EtherCAT, DeviceNet).
    • Design and maintain 480/240 VAC, 3-phase electrical power facilities.
    • Tune and maintain servo control systems and servo motors.
Requirements
  • Good experience in requirements analysis, design, coding, and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications.
  • Good knowledge and experience working within the robotics industry.
  • Able to set priorities, multi-task, and work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Effective project management, prioritization, planning, and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Rigorous and possessing sound judgment, open-minded, and creative thinking.

Education and Experience
  • Degree in Robotics Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent job experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical hardware and software development role preferably within the robotics application or industry.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment.
  • High proficiency and experience working with C/C++ and embedded programming.
  • Experience with PLC/robot controller interfaces, is an asset.
  • Experience working with PCB assembly fabrication/testing, is an asset.
  • Experience with applications and scripts (Ruby, Qt Toolkit), is an asset.
  • Web development (HTML, JavaScript) maintenance is an asset.
