About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist in Gene Therapy Development to join our team at Biogen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing the production of AAV in adherent and suspension mammalian systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute validated protocols for the purification of AAV preps (ultracentrifugation or chromatography based) and perform characterization using standard molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
- Support process development for the refinement of existing upstream and downstream SOPs.
- Manage CROs (Contract Research Organizations) for external AAV vector production.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a Sr. Associate Scientist, Gene Therapy-related occupation.
- Or a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a Sr. Associate Scientist, Gene Therapy-related occupation.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
