About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Wedgewood. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in transforming distressed properties into revitalized homes, contributing to the improvement of communities one house at a time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Frequently inspect properties for occupancy and make general assessments on the current conditions and quality of neighborhoods prior to acquisition.
- Support the Acquisitions team by bidding at the local courthouse as needed.
- Collaborate with the Design team and Area Manager to formulate a game plan for each property.
- Select and manage contractors, and continuously pursue relationships with new contractors/subs/vendors.
- Resolve difficult property issues, manage contractors and vendors, and advise regional Area Manager on the status of properties.
- Drive inventory regularly and check in on properties to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Manage 10 to 30 projects at any given time.
- Prepare homes for listing and collaborate with the Wedgewood Homes Realty team during resale.
Requirements:
- Experience with project management/single family home remodels is preferred; 1-5 years of experience is ideal.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, Construction Management is a plus.
- Experience in real estate or appraising is ideal.
- Proficient with computers, mobile devices, and applications (iPads, Outlook, and basic Excel, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, take initiative, and think on the go.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
