Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Packaging Support to join our team at Continental Mills. As a Packaging Support, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our packaging equipment, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work dayshift from 7:00PM - 7:30AM, maintaining a high level of alertness and focus throughout your shift.
• Read and follow directions correctly, written and verbal, to ensure accurate and efficient production processes.
• Stand and walk on a cement floor, continuously, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Bend and lift, using proper lifting techniques, up to 50 lbs., occasionally, to meet production demands.
• Climb and balance on an 18 to 20 ft. ladder, occasionally, to access high areas for maintenance and cleaning.
• Twist at waist and reach at or below shoulder height, frequently, to operate equipment and perform tasks.
• Ability to support production at line standards, continuously, by maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production processes.
• Ability to operate packaging equipment at standard, occasionally, to meet production demands.
• Ability to work in high and confined spaces, occasionally, to access equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
• Ability to complete product and packaging change overs on equipment, occasionally, to ensure smooth production processes.
• Ability to fill and transfer bulk bags up to 50 lbs. to meet standard efficiencies, occasionally, to meet production demands.

• Proactive in quality and follow GMP's and housekeeping guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow procedures to ensure all food quality standards are met or exceeded, maintaining high-quality products for our customers.
• Flexible to work other shifts and overtime as business needs require, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to go above and beyond.
• Committed to internal and external customer expectations, providing excellent service and support.
• Ability to confront and solve problems, thinking critically and creatively to resolve issues.
• Effective communication skills and ability to provide meaningful feedback, ensuring clear and concise communication throughout the team.
• Efficient time management and ability to work unsupervised, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
• Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
• Required to conduct work in a safe and legal manner, according to all GMP food safety standards, as well as following safety protocols.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and learning.
• Accurate reading, math, and organizational skills, ensuring attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Food processing and packaging machinery experience preferred, demonstrating knowledge and skills in the industry.
