Position Summary

Proof of the Pudding is a distinguished catering service recognized across the Southeast for its dedication to crafting exceptional culinary experiences from scratch. This commitment extends into the realm of Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services, where we provide enhanced concessions and premium offerings for various events, including collegiate sports, PGA tournaments, and more.

We are currently looking for skilled Culinary Service Associates to support our operations. This role involves delivering food services at athletic events, special occasions, and for student athletes. The position will oversee the front-of-house team at our Athlete Training Table and manage hospitality suites during football game days and other sporting events.

This is a seasonal/part-time role, contingent on the scheduling of athletic events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up food stations, including the transportation of hot and cold food items throughout the service area.
  • Replenish food items as necessary and directed.
  • Operate and provide service at interactive stations, such as build-your-own smoothie setups.
  • Serve and clear food and beverages efficiently and professionally, adhering to proper serving techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area and collaborate with the Front of House Supervisor to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Manage time effectively during service periods.
  • Assist in inventory management and the setup and breakdown of events.
  • Report to the Front of House Supervisor and complete assigned tasks to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Follow food handling and sanitation guidelines diligently.
  • Assist in the cleanup and preparation of the service area for subsequent service times.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in serving or front-of-house roles.
  • Experience in high-volume catering or food service is preferred.
Special Skills:
  • Strong listening and communication abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Work Environment

This position primarily operates within the Student Athlete Training Table located in the food hall or athletic venues. The role requires movement between kitchen and service areas, including coolers and freezers, and may involve navigating various terrains across campus and stadium grounds.

Uniform Standards

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout event spaces.
  • Capability to bend, lift, scoop, and carry various equipment and food items.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting approximately 30 lbs.
