Pharmacy Manager Job Description

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team and drive patient care excellence. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, including patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
  • Develop and implement patient care programs to promote healthy outcomes and differentiate CVS Health from competitors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve performance in our pharmacy.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure our pharmacy remains at the forefront of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Active pharmacy license in the state where employed.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
  • Pharmacist in charge listed on the pharmacy state license.
  • Submission of required information/documents to the state PMP administrator for PMP access (in states with active PMP for pharmacist use).
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
