Job Title: Assistant Environmental Director

GAI Consultants Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Environmental Director to join our team. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team of biologists and environmental specialists, developing and implementing environmental programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a small team of biologists and environmental specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement environmental programs, including permitting, compliance, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments, providing expert advice to the team.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Ecology, Biology, Fish and Wildlife Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in environmental construction permitting (NEPA) and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
