We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a rotating shift position. As a critical care specialist, you will provide general and emergency respiratory therapy procedures to patients as directed by physicians and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' clinical condition and make independent judgments to modify care as necessary.
- Perform airway and ventilator management, including assessment, application, intubation, monitoring, and evaluation of modality for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.
- Insert arterial lines, conduct ABG sticks, and interpret results.
- Act as a preceptor to support and develop new and existing RT employees.
- Assist the department manager with Performance Improvement projects and other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- License to practice respiratory care in the state of employment.
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
