Description: At Saint Alphonsus Health System, we are looking for people who are living out their calling. We want you to be passionate about coming to work, and challenged to achieve your potential. As an RRT at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will provide general and emergency respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages. These procedures include: respiratory assessment, airway and ventilator management, bi-level non-invasive ventilation management pulmonary diagnostics, delivery of medicated aerosols, bronchial hygiene therapy, lung expansion therapy, intubation, CPR, bronchoscopy assistance, arterial line placement, arterial sampling and ABG analysis and interpretation, and more.
Our ideal candidate will be able to assess changes in the patient's clinical condition and modify care as necessary. He or she will also act as a preceptor by actively supporting and constructively contributing to the development of new and existing RT colleagues.
License/Certification Requirements:
- License to practice respiratory care from the Oregon Board of Medicine
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support for HealthCare Provider (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required or obtained within six months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support for HealthCare Provider (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required or obtained within six months of hire
