Position Overview:
The Audit Manager will be instrumental in overseeing audit engagements, delivering outstanding client service, and nurturing team development. You will collaborate closely with clients, lead audit teams, and ensure the provision of top-notch audit and assurance services.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement Management:
Act as the primary liaison for client communication and coordination.
Plan and execute audit engagements, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and regulations.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's industry, business operations, and financial objectives.
Team Leadership:
Guide and mentor a team of audit professionals, promoting their growth and development.
Delegate tasks, review workpapers, and provide direction to ensure quality and efficiency in audit processes.
Monitor engagement progress and allocate resources effectively.
Technical Expertise:
Stay updated on auditing and accounting standards and regulations.
Assess and enhance audit methodologies to ensure compliance and improve efficiency.
Review financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify and evaluate risks in audit engagements and formulate strategies to mitigate them.
Implement effective internal controls and offer recommendations for process enhancements.
Client Relationship Development:
Establish and maintain strong client relationships by providing valuable insights and recommendations.
Identify opportunities for additional services and business expansion within the client base.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the highest quality of audit work, including the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Oversee the preparation of audit reports and financial statements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is required.
5+ years of audit experience in a public accounting firm, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Thorough understanding of GAAP and auditing standards (GAAS).Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
