Job Title: Outreach and Community Engagement Specialist

Job Summary:

The Ring of Democracy Incorporated is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Outreach and Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. As an Outreach and Community Engagement Specialist, you will play a critical role in connecting our organization with the surrounding community, attending outreach events, and working closely with community partners to disseminate important information to individuals in need of support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach activities to reach individuals in priority regions, utilizing materials provided by the organization.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records of Home Assistance Funds applicants.
  • Assist applicants with filling out their applications.
  • Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services, reflecting the community and population served.
  • Phone banking and canvassing.
  • Submit regular progress reports to the Outreach and Community Engagement Coordinator.
  • Reports directly to the Outreach and Community Engagement Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of relevant organizing and/or outreach experience.
  • High level of verbal and written communications skills.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities and manage tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment for short-term projects.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
