WGA Consulting Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to lead our Hydraulics and Hydrology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of project managers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and project success.
Responsibilities:
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement within the department, focusing on delivering high-quality projects and meeting client expectations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and develop individual development plans for team members, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
- Review and analyze project schedules, ensuring timely completion and accurate billing.
- Optimize team utilization, assigning resources effectively to meet project demands and maintain high productivity.
- Develop and maintain a task/project list for the department, fostering clear communication and goal-setting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on hydraulics and hydrology.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in hydraulics and hydrology engineering, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budget management, and project billing.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in hydraulics and hydrology engineering.
