Position Overview:
The Property Tax Consultant collaborates with a dedicated team to uncover tax savings opportunities for clients while gaining insights into their property tax computation methods. This role involves thorough research, database reconciliation, and precise calculations. The Consultant supports the team in addressing verification processes with tax authorities, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Engagement:

  • Address inquiries and requests from clients and tax authorities.
Value Creation:
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and tax authorities nationwide.
  • Participate in client meetings and property evaluations.
  • Examine client property tax documentation.
  • Utilize software tools to manage client data efficiently.
  • Investigate tax-related issues.
  • Prepare and review property tax reports and submissions.
  • Assess notices and identify potential tax reductions.
  • File appeals as necessary.
  • Evaluate liabilities for development projects.
  • Assist clients with tax incentive matters.
  • Engage regularly with team members.
  • Communicate clearly through written and verbal channels.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Real Estate.
  • Completion of at least six hours in Accounting, Economics, or Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Preferred experience in related roles (internships or similar positions).
  • Strong desire to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and navigate ambiguity.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals at all levels.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet research is essential for success in this role.

Licenses:
A valid driver's license is required.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based, with occasional requirements for travel. Regular interaction with colleagues and clients is expected, both in person and through electronic communication.
