About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Music Therapist to join our team at AccentCare. As a Music Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with patients in a hospice setting, providing personalized care and support to help them navigate the end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients, utilizing music therapy techniques to promote emotional and physical well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their loved ones, addressing concerns and fears related to end-of-life care.
  • Conduct music therapy sessions, using a variety of techniques and instruments to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance overall quality of life.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes, maintaining accurate and detailed records of music therapy sessions and patient interactions.
Requirements
  • Board Certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) by the Certification Board for Music Therapy (CBMT).
  • Master's Degree in Music Therapy or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Music Therapist in a healthcare setting.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable automobile.
