Lawn Care Specialist

O'Mara Landscaping & Lawn Care is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Lawn Care and Landscaping Team Member and Team Lead. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out various lawn care, landscaping, and enhancement tasks under the direction of a team lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform lawn care, landscaping, and enhancement tasks, including aeration and overseeding, installing annuals, pruning, mulching, and initial site clean ups.
- Mow, blow, edge, and trim lawns, as well as weed beds, fall leaf blow, and prune perennials and grasses.
- Install hardscapes, including patios, pathways, steps, and retaining walls, as well as fencing, drip irrigation, planting, drainage, lighting installation, and water features.
Requirements:
- Ability to follow basic directions and instructions administered by the team leader.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual.
- Ability to report and communicate any property damage or issues, injuries, accidents, or equipment damage/malfunction to your team lead, immediately.
- Ability to understand and comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety, emergency, quality, and equipment care and maintenance.
- Ability to learn how to and safely operate basic lawn care, landscaping, and enhancement equipment.
- Positive attitude and ability to quickly learn basic lawn care, landscaping, and enhancement functions and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish).
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 1+ year experience in a professional lawn care, landscaping, or enhancement position.
- Basic knowledge of lawn care, landscaping, or enhancement equipment and techniques.
- An interest in learning and growing your skill set to advance within the company.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to partake in extended periods of physical activity, including bending, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting.
- Must be able to walk 5+ miles per day while carrying lawn care equipment.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work around bees, poisonous plants, pollen, and other environmental hazards.
- Must have full range of motion in the upper body and be able to reach over one's head.
