About the Role

The Corporate Counsel will serve as the primary legal contact for assigned clients, executing routine to moderate-impact legal matters and providing support to higher-level attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal principles and be able to identify and anticipate legal risks in the client's business, technology, and/or public policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a range of matters, including privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks in the client's business, technology, and/or public policy.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel and other service providers to address and resolve project-specific issues.
  • Structures, drafts, and negotiates transactional documents, including standard agreements with third parties.
  • Conducts, reviews, interprets, and analyzes legal information, maintaining a basic understanding of legal principles within the primary legal practice area.
  • Monitors business activity to ensure legal compliance policies/standards are followed, advising and helping clients understand compliance issues and identifying risks.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate Degree or Equivalent International Degree.
  • Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction.
  • 3+ years experience as a practicing attorney or equivalent practice of law.
  • Additional or preferred qualifications include 1+ year(s) experience as an attorney in specialized practice area (e.g., tax, employment, copyright).
