Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement reputational communications strategies to proactively tell the company's value story and address potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  2. Lead issues management communications to ensure effective internal and external responses.
  3. Execute proactive public affairs and communications campaigns across various audiences and issues.
  4. Support the development and execution of research-based thought leadership campaigns to demonstrate the company's perspective on improving the healthcare ecosystem.
  5. Develop and implement comprehensive crisis communications playbooks and execute protocols and processes to ensure readiness for potential industry, member, and client issues.
  6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain open lines of communication, address concerns, and provide updates to ensure transparency and trust.
  7. Monitor healthcare industry trends, public sentiment, and social media platforms to identify potential issues and anticipate crisis scenarios.
  8. Develop and deliver issues preparedness communication training programs for key stakeholders, including executives, spokespersons, and staff members.
Qualifications
  1. At least 10 years of communications experience.
  2. Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, journalism, creative writing, marketing, health policy, public administration, or a similar field.
  3. Strong experience in reputation building, issues, crisis, project, and stakeholder management.
  4. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
  5. Strong initiative to take projects from inception to completion while collaborating in a highly matrixed environment.
  6. Strong editorial judgment, exceptional writing and editing skills, and the ability to distill complex concepts into crisp, user-friendly communications.
  7. Adept at planning, managing, and prioritizing work to meet tight deadlines.
  8. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, creative self-starter who is eager to take on projects, learn new concepts, and dive into new territories.
  9. Results-oriented, with a proven track record of executing strategic communications programming, preferably in a large matrixed organization.
