About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey CAD Technician I-IV to join our Geomatics department in Albuquerque, NM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
  • Process various forms of data, including XML files, point data, GIS data, shape files, and Landdesktop.
  • Create, utilize, and modify plan, profiles, alignments, sample lines, and section views.
  • Understand and provide detailed and accurate drawings.
  • Create, manage, and edit line type styles, text styles, label styles, point group styles, and design surfaces.
  • Operate plans that utilize CTB files and STB files.
  • Prepare medium to complex design computations and quantity estimates.
  • Perform design of portions of non-routine projects or entire routine projects under infrequent supervision.
  • Assist in the preparation of drawings, exhibits, and reports for projects.
  • Perform CAD drafting on a regular basis to reduce designs to final drawings.
  • Understand surveying terminology and other concepts related to civil engineering and construction practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience required in a related field; 1-2 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
