We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at UniFirst. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Utilize hand and power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
- Ensure safe operation of machinery and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and operation manuals to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make necessary repairs as required.
- Record and analyze meter readings of utilities and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
- Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment and procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
- Lockout/Tagout experience required.
