Job Title: Packaging Technician I

Vitality Works is seeking a skilled Packaging Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining semi-automatic and fully automatic packaging lines to ensure high-quality products are packaged and prepared for storage or shipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor packaging equipment to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to product specifications and SOPs.
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to the Packaging Lead or Packaging Manager.
  • Maintain consistent production quality, checking measurements when bottling.
  • Clean equipment or machinery properly for each product switch to avoid cross-contamination.
  • Sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, ensuring that packaging components are available and at the proper location.
  • Assemble cartons/boxes to prepare for product packing.
  • Pack finished products in proper boxes.
  • Keep work area clean and maintain appropriate hygiene.
  • Attach or mark identification onto products or containers per SOP.
  • Fulfill quotas and goals.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or sufficient experience pertaining to this position.
  • Prior warehouse experience a plus.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of how to use a calculator.
  • Ability to work in a team and meet quotas.
  • Understanding written and spoken information in English in work-related documents, trainings, and day-to-day operations.
