Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Design:

  • Develop and execute a thorough media arts curriculum encompassing digital photography, video creation, graphic design, animation, and other pertinent media arts fields.

Teaching:

  • Deliver captivating and interactive lessons to students of varying abilities, ensuring each participant receives the appropriate support and challenges.

Project Oversight:

  • Assist students in navigating the process of creating media arts projects, from initial concept through to execution and presentation.

Technology Utilization:

  • Incorporate various software and equipment to enrich the educational experience, remaining updated with industry developments and technological progress.

Evaluation:

  • Assess and monitor student advancement, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for growth.

Collaboration:

  • Engage in teamwork with fellow instructors, staff, and community partners to support program objectives and enhance the overall educational journey.

Mentorship:

  • Act as a mentor and role model for students, cultivating a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere.

Community Involvement:

  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and events to promote our programs and foster relationships with local organizations.

Professional Growth:

  • Continuously pursue opportunities for professional development in the field of media arts education.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Arts, Fine Arts, Education, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching media arts to youth, ideally in an educational or community-focused environment.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in media arts software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.). Strong grasp of digital media production, including photography, videography, and graphic design.

Communication:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Capacity to connect with and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.

Creativity:

  • Proven creativity and innovation in teaching strategies and project development.

Team Collaboration:

  • Ability to effectively collaborate as part of a team and work alongside colleagues.
