Job Summary

The Host role is a critical position that sets the tone for an exceptional member service experience. As a vital member of our clinic team, the Host is responsible for ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for our members. This includes assisting with check-in, demonstrating a deep understanding of self-insured employer health insurance, and facilitating the member's journey throughout our health center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome each member with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, handling all member interactions with poise and courtesy.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality, delivering uncompromised service and outcomes that exceed member expectations.
  • Accommodate special requests for member support whenever possible and promptly resolve member questions with ease.
  • Assist with assigned projects and special provider or patient requests, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Process transactions required to begin or complete the visit, leveraging a basic understanding of benefit eligibility files, check-in technology, and clinic workflows.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of employer-sponsored health insurance, including copays, co-insurance, and related benefit specific requirements, to support members effectively.
  • Engage with members through various channels, including calls, scheduling appointments, responding to emails, and following up on member needs.
  • Collaborate with providers and staff members to deliver an exceptional, seamless patient-centered care experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the highest level of member satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of experience in a customer service position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Apple products (Mac, iPad, iPhone), ChromeOS, or client-branded Windows products such as Microsoft or HP.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative care team environment.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Experience with multitasking, issue resolution, and conflict management.
  • Experience in a healthcare service delivery environment.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Requires corrected vision, hearing, and speech within normal ranges.
