Job Summary

Under the direction of Security Supervisors and Managers, the incumbent provides basic security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members for the outside perimeter of the property. Safeguards the assets of the organization as well as those of its guests and team members. Promotes an outgoing, friendly guest-oriented demeanor at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observes and obeys all street and parking lot traffic regulations.
  • Drives company bicycles in designated routes only.
  • Directs vehicular traffic in employee parking areas, surface parking lots, and throughout the property.
  • Ensures safety and security of vehicles in lots by reporting all suspicious behavior to a Security Supervisor whether these acts were from an employee or a patron.
  • Always keeps alert for unauthorized attempts to remove vehicles.
  • Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino and hotel areas of the complex.
  • Responds to incidents, accidents, and calls for assistance.
  • Must provide emergency medical care to the highest degree necessary within allowable limits for the certification held.
  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and company/departmental policies and procedures.
  • At times may have to control the traffic flow throughout the facility.
  • Must be able to give accurate and detailed directions to a patron's destination.
  • Must be able to answer questions regarding services, shows, facilities, and directions.
  • Completes thorough documentation of all medical calls.
  • Completes all required checklists for inventory and inspections of supplies and equipment.
  • Notifies a Supervisor of any problems with equipment and/or supplies and makes note of supplies that require replenishing.
  • Replaces supplies as necessary and reports missing supplies to a Supervisor.
  • Disinfects and maintains cleanliness of EMS equipment, supplies, and treatment rooms as per the requirements of daily assignments.
  • Assists in the coordination of emergency situations.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and ride a bicycle for long periods of time, able to climb steps, respond to emergency situations, and handle basic duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and fast-paced situations.
Work Environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including but not limited to, second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public.
