Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Quality Control Analyst is to ensure the integrity of in-process materials and final products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and conduct analyses in accordance with standardized testing protocols;
  • Examine raw materials and finished products for any visual imperfections and implement corrective measures as necessary;
  • Gather and/or receive product samples for production or material analysis, adhering to security protocols;
  • Execute chromatography assessments of process samples and final products utilizing HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) to confirm concentration levels;
  • Conduct physical-chemical evaluations of raw materials, processes, and final products using specialized equipment to assess density, pH, color, grain size, nitrogen content, sugar, and moisture levels;
  • Assist in the formulation of operational procedures to streamline and standardize laboratory practices;
  • Carry out scheduled evaluations requested by production for the assessment of process enhancements;
  • Maintain sample storage for traceability and ensure the safe disposal of products used in analyses;
  • Communicate analysis results to supervisors to facilitate adjustments in processes, shipping, and receiving;
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of laboratory equipment, conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance;
  • Ensure the organization and tidiness of the workspace;
  • Perform tasks in compliance with quality and regulatory standards;
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, including safe work practices and housekeeping standards;
  • Execute additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Capability to remain stationary for up to 80% of the work shift;
  • Ability to navigate stairs and ladders as needed;
  • Must be able to move throughout the facility for approximately 20% of the shift;
  • Ability to position oneself to collect and prepare samples from various locations;
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
  • Associate's Degree in a science-related field preferred;
  • Laboratory experience is advantageous.
