Shift: Rotating shifts (Day/Night)

Compensation: $24.48/hour - $28.48/hour

Shift Premium: Additional $1.50/hour for Night shifts

Role Summary

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual eager to showcase their multitasking abilities, teamwork, and leadership in a dynamic mining environment. The Quarry Operations Specialist will report to the Quarry Production Supervisors and will be responsible for overseeing daily quarry operations, supporting safety initiatives, and contributing to production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, reliable job performance, and consistent attendance.
  • Foster a respectful and dignified atmosphere among colleagues, supervisors, and the public.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn heavy machinery operation while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Safely operate various quarry machinery, including scrapers, excavators, loaders, haul trucks, crushers, and conveyors.
  • Utilize computers and control systems effectively.
  • Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on equipment.
  • Identify mechanical issues and communicate effectively with maintenance teams.
  • Complete all necessary training and comply with MSHA and OSHA regulations.
  • Understand the significance of assigned tasks and their impact on overall operations.
  • Be prepared to work nights and weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Be available for overtime and emergency call-ins as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet physical demands, including regular sitting, standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Capability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Readiness to begin work at the scheduled start time.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions and support team members as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for completing daily reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with heavy machinery, particularly in crushing operations.
  • Possession of a CDL and Tanker Endorsement.
  • Completion of MSHA Part 48 Training.

Compensation may vary based on qualifications and experience.
